A champion is the victor, the one winning, the overcomer. A
Champion is also the representative of the people. He is the best
the people can offer (1Samuel 9:1-2; 17:48-51). He is excellent.
The greatest champion in history is no other person than the Lord
Jesus Christ (Isaiah 9:6).

BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF CHAMPIONS
Gideon, the least from the poorest family in Manasseh, became a
great man of velour (Judges 6:15-16; 7:2-7, 22). A timid and
weak Joshua was changed to a strong and courageous man, who
led the children of Israel into the Promised Land (Joshua 1:6-7;
11:16-18). Jephtah, the son of a prostitute, who was hated and
driven out of his father’s house, later become a chosen head and
commander (Judges 11:1; 7-8,11). Saul, a Benjamite of no
reputation was chosen by God as the first king of Israel (1
Samuel 9:1-2). Davis, an unknown and abandoned shepherd boy
defeated Goliath and reigned as king in place of Saul (1 Samuel
17:11-12, 50-51). Esther, an orphan, was not only made a queen
but was also used by God to deliver the Jews from total
destruction and annihilation (Esther 2:7, 17; 8:8).
JESUS THE GREATEST CHAMPION
Jesus engaged the greatest enemy of mankind-Satan, in battle
and defeated him (Genesis 3:15; Hebrews 2:14-15). He
established victory over sin (1 Corinthians 15:56-57; Romans
8:3), He overcame the world (John 16:33). He swallowed death in
victory (1 Corinthians 15:54). He won your battles for you
because any battle you are facing now is a fall out of His battle
with Satan (Romans 8:31-37).
God can raise you out of dunghill into the class of princes or
princesses. This is a change of level that makes you a champion
